Surrendering to death

The enlightened Dr. David Hawkins, in his book, "Healing and Recovery," describes a potentially deadly encounter with a large rattlesnake on the doorway to his cabin.

The rattler was coiled, "...his head snapped back, his tongue flickered out, and he was poised to strike..." Understandably, Hawkins dropped into fear, knowing he could die a painful death, now.

Here's where Hawkins and most of the rest of us differ. "I saw that my survival really depended on the excellence with which I let go, surrendered to God, and released and let go of resisting the experience.  As I did, the fearful thoughts instantly disappeared, and I felt a profound state of peace settle on both the snake and me...Out of it came a sort of inner joyfulness, and I felt love for the snake arise out of the field from which fear had been removed."

Can we draw on Hawkins' experience and allow ourselves to relax into death, trusting all is well? 

A peaceful death

Tim died in his Mother's arms, after twenty-some  years of suffering from Cystic Fibrosis.  Unable to absorb enough oxygen, he felt himself strangling slowly, which manifested in his strong will and stubbornness. His quick mind resented that his illness was not just uncomfortable but the obstacle that prevented him from making a difference in the world.

Tim was an unusual young man, through his physically weak childhood until his return to death.  He's showing himself now as a strong young man, leaning over a geneticist's shoulders, whispering "Look, look, over here. Notice this configuration...," as they focused together on the slides under the microscope. He wanted to experience the wasting of this disease firsthand so he could work for a cure. 

The Angels say it's as if he lived in two houses. One on the other side and one here. When he appeared to be drugged or sleeping, he mingled with his old friends, spoke telepathically, and was creative, brilliant and whole on the Other Side.  When he was here in his physical life, he felt ill, was malnourished  and unable to breathe without difficulty.   His life was consumed with staying alive.

Tim died on the same day both his Father and Grandfather had passed on. In his Mother's arms, he put out his hands and reached up, talking out loud to his Angels and his Father. He died a peaceful death.

Across the dimensional line

A charmingly open women emailed me about her visions that had come true, and her sense that her newly deceased husband still communicates with her.  She wants to know,  "Is this normal?"

She's asked her husband where his wedding ring was and was led to exactly where he had placed it. She had already looked high and low for several weeks and was unable to locate it. She dreamed that her seemingly healthy sister passed on, which materialized within a couple of weeks. Her living family thinks she's a little "off."

The Angels share that the ability to connect across the dimensional line, from dead to alive and vice versa,  is becoming more frequent. Often unexplainable things happen.  The dead  communicate telepathically with their loved ones in the hope that the alive will realize all is well and not continue to grieve. 

Imagine the frustration of the dead sitting next to you, but in a way you are unable to see with your linear vision?  The Angels whisper that we are all just like this.  We are unable to see what has opened up for us.  We hold on so tightly to what we were taught that we are unable to focus on the truth.

We do not have the limitations that we think we do. We are much more.

In rehab on the other side

Liz asked about her deceased cousin, Eddie, who died several months before.  

There is a remoteness about him. He seems to be in a "holding pen", a kind of rehabilitation clinic. He feels fragmented. I'm spinning counter-clockwise as I look at his energy. I know enough about energy to know that something is off.  Eddie is safe, but shattered.  He needs to be brought back together.

The Angels suggest Liz focus on her loving acceptance of him. He needs this. His sense of self-worth is non-existent.  Liz extends her love to him.  He seems able to receive. He's smiling!  He's sitting up on a doctor's metal table, stretching his hands out to her, encouraging her to connect with him. He needs to feel Liz's gentle physical power as well as her loving spiritual energy. 

Liz's willingness to accept Eddie has given him his first real connection.  She ignited a spark inside, a knowingness of something more to life than what he thought before his actual death.  He's feeling as if his death was his fault, as if he should have died differently, as if his death didn't have to happen.

Humbly, he says, "In spite of everything, Liz, you have been here for me. Thank you. Thank you."

After the reading, Liz shared that Eddie was a police officer who had shot himself unexpectedly. She had always held a "soft spot" in her heart for him.

Helping Dad

Carol, an adult daughter of an alcoholic, asked how she could help her dead Dad.  She seemed unable to access his energy, even though she was able to connect with other deceased family members.   Dad passed on in his sleep six years ago.  His daughter felt anxious because his body was not found for three days. 

Her Angels explain that we cannot live another person's life. Dad was not just an alcoholic, but smoked and was grossly overweight.  He refuses to take responsibility for his existence, in or out of a body. Carol was the caregiver in his life.  Even as a child, she took responsibility for what he refused to do for himself.

Until Dad is willing to face his own life or lack of it, there is nothing to be done. The choice is always up to us.

In no uncertain terms, the Angels indicate it is time for Carol to create her own life, which she overlooked in her self-appointed mission of keeper of her Dad. 

Nothing matters any more

Dale passed suddenly and unexpectedly. She's so excited to connect with her friend, Kathleen, that she trots over, laughing as if she was away for the weekend. She sits down close and slides her knees over next toward Kathleen's so they touch lightly.  Leaning forward, Dale stumbles over her words as she tries to fill her in about everything in her new life and wants to know everything about Kathleen.

Dale explains that she feels like she's been on vacation. She's relaxed and blissful.  She feels great! 

Kathleen is the executor of her will and wants to know what she wants her do.  Dale says it doesn't matter,  as long as Kathleen gets her share.  "Ignore any disputes," she insists. She's released control of her physical assets.  None of it matters any longer.

What do you think Dad?

Lynda asks her deceased Dad about her alive husband, Joey.  What do you think of him, Dad?  Dad sits back with an "Oh my!"  He tries to be diplomatic and explain what he sees, carefully.   Dad says her husband has taken a little detour.  He's in a mid-life crisis and wants to break loose. Dad would like to give Joe a "Dr. Laura" talk, a slice from his own life with Lynda's mother.   Dad says the stability is what frightens Joe.

Dad points out that her Joey is a stubborn guy who's accumulated a huge debt. Now he thinks he can run off and forget it all as well as her and the kids.  Dad is clear that Lynda has not only chutzpah but the stamina needed to get her through these rough times.

He says she's not too old to begin again and this time she'll have the wisdom to select differently.  Her husband's energy has been holding her back. If she can live through this emotionally trying time, it's all a bigger blessing than she can possibly see this minute.

Dad died 6 years ago.  His adult daughter, Sharon, is anxious to connect. It's immediately obvious that these two have a special relationship.  Dad is all smiles, filled with love for his much-admired daughter. He's excited to spend time with his "little girl," no matter how big she's grown.  Dad's hugging her with his loving energy, hoping that she can sense his presence.

This is an enthusiastic reunion.  Dad wants to be close.  He was the kind of parent who had an "eye peeled," to make sure his girl was safe from harm. 

With an arm around Sharon, he's stroking her hair.  If she were a little tot again, he'd have her on his lap.  Together they have bonded in a common trust and respect that comes from lifetimes of creating a loving family.

Dad doesn't want to interfere with Sharon's life, yet she never left his heart. This is the Dad we all want for our own.

A son dies of Cystic Fibrosis

Jason died young of Cystic Fibrosis.  His Mom wants to connect with him, even just for a minute.

Immediately, Jason fills me with the sadness of the living, of unfilled hopes, and the weight of living as a child who realized he would never reach adulthood.  This heaviness hung over him and his family. Still, he comes in grinning, exuding the energy of the healthy, and nuzzles Mom. He wishes she could feel him physically, so she would know for certain that the loving bond they shared, continues and that he is okay.

Mom wants to know about his life now. Although Jason died as a adolescent of keen intellect and wise beyond his years, he shows us a picture of him as a rambunctious child. He's running easily, riding a bike, playing baseball, all the things he was unable to do with limited oxygen.  He's exuding the physical energy of a healthy child.

The Angels explain it's as if he has two homes.  One is in spirit form where he is whole and free and fully engaged in his life. The other is in the physical, where he feels the sadness of creating pain for his physical family. 

In life, Jason approached his life like an old soul. When asked by the Make a Wish Foundation what he wanted, instead of the proverbial trip to Disney,  he was the first child to request a fund to be set up for other children with Cystic Fibrosis. He died in peace.

Dead 101 ~ Nobody Dies

After "death," it appears the emotional challenges of living remain with us in our spirit form. It is always our choice to change our anger and fear into acceptance and love.
