As I walked into my meeting last night, the security guard behind the desk thrust two photos under my nose with, "Look at this! My sister took this at Whaley House!" For you non-San Diegans, Whaley House in Old Town, San Diego, is a certified ghost house, whatever that means.
This guy didn't know what I do for a living, and he certainly didn't know about ghosts. But here they were. Two recent photos of the interior rooms of Whaley House, each with a white wispy blob in the middle. I've seen enough ghost pictures to recognize how they appear in photos.
Several years ago my daughters and I went with cameras in tow to Whaley House. We were optimistic but not ghost believers. At that time, I wasn't in touch with my Medium abilities. Both my daughters are terrific photographers and have no trouble technically. As we entered, both cameras malfunctioned and stayed that way until we walked outside again, where they worked perfectly in the garden.
This reminds me of a story involving my friend, Joan and her then boyfriend. Joan shared pictures she took at the beautiful old lodge in Catalina Island of her guy standing in front of the immense stone fireplace in the main salon. Over his head was a huge, floating, white blob - Casper enlarged! It gave me the creeps, but there it was.
If you have any ghost stories you'd like to share, I'm sure we'd all like to hear! They still illicit a slightly mouth-open, "You're kidding...", even from me.
