The Angels point out that your aura, or the energy field around you, is like a snowflake. It doesn't look like a snowflake. It's simply that no two people, even twins, have identical-appearing fields. There are similarities, but the fields are not identical.
Your energy field is a mutable compilation of everything you are. As your emotions change, your field changes. If you choose to hold your emotions in, unexpressed, perhaps even to you, your field will exhibit a kind of gray cloud. In the body the owner feels protected, as if no one will know what he or she is really thinking and feeling.
The dead can recognize your shield and know it's you. They can sense through this grayness what you're up to. How you really feel even though you are unable to express it.
There is just no getting away from who we really are underneath when nobody's looking, because somebody, somewhere, is.
